I remember several years ago, I came to church one Sunday morning stretched almost to breaking point. Several of our children were seriously ill and I had dealt with some very demanding situations during the week. Now I was coming down with the flu. I remember thinking, “I wish I could just sit down with someone and ask them to pray for me.” That sparked a desire to ensure that no one else would ever have to go home ‘unprayed for’ if they came to church with a burdened heart or an infirm body.
After worship on Sunday mornings, opportunity is now offered for individuals to receive prayer for particular needs or issues. Without any ‘weirdness’ you can share a need or circumstance and someone will pray with you or for you. Our ‘pray-ers’ will treat all prayer requests in confidence and with great respect. This is also available in our Pastorate groups and at other times by request. You are always welcome to ask for prayer.
