Things must be slow just now...we've got nothing coming up. Check back soon and there's sure to be something on!!
Replacement of the Toowong Uniting Church roof will commence on Thursday 10 August 2017. After some consideration, Church Council also approved the repainting of the outside of the church and hall in order to make use of the perimeter scaffolding required for the reroofing. The roofing and painting work will take approximately 8-10 weeks. While there will be no changes to church activities during this time, there are some important changes and details to take note of with regard to how we enter and use the building. Please click here for more details.

Pastorate meet every second Tuesday night during the school term from 7.00 – 9.00pm. Click here to see all the dates Pastorate will meet in term three. Pastorate is a great way to get to know God while also building friendships with each other. We aim to make Pastorate a safe and friendly place where anyone came come to learn, ask questions, and connect with our community. A typical evening goes a bit like this: we enjoy a meal together, sing some songs, hear from different people in the group, unpack a bit of the bible and talk about what it means, and pray together. Everyone is most welcome to come along.
One of the practical ways we as a church can assist people in and beyond our congregation is by providing meals. These meals mean that the person who is ill, or who is taking care of someone who is ill, doesn’t need to worry about cooking. Currently our reserves of meals in the church freezer are quite low and we would like to build up those reserves a little more in the near future. If you are able to provide a meal for someone in need, or even provide the ingredients, please get in touch with Wendy: firstname.lastname@example.org
Time: 9.30 – 11.00am
Playgroup runs every Friday during the school term from 9.30 – 11.00am. We will not be able to meet for Playgroup in the church hall during this time for safety reasons. From Friday 11 August we will instead meet at Perrin Park, Josling Street 9.30-11.00am. We will meet there every Friday up to and including the last Playgroup of Term 3 which is on Friday 15 September. We will also continue to meet there in term 4 until the building work is finished. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but warmly invite you to join us at Perrin Park during this time. Please get in touch with Clare for more information: email@example.com

The Friday Playgroup at TUC is a great way for families with young children to connect and feel part of the community. Our volunteers love getting to know the families, and it’s lovely to see friendships develop between parents and between children. Currently, about 70-80 people (including children) are coming each week. We also see about 5 new families join each week. This means Playgroup is growing and growing! To continue to support the families in our area, we intend to start a second Playgroup, most likely in term 4. Please be praying for this, and if you’re interested in volunteering please get in touch with Clare: email@example.com
